YEAR ROUND MEMBERSHIP BENEFIT CAMPERSHIP SPONSORSHIP Why become a Y member Why not Not only will you receive a discount each week on day camp you will have year round access to our 9 metro area locations and their swimming sports and other programs at the member rate Many of our campers attend Summer Day Camp each week on scholarships We could not provide this opportunity to these families without help from people like you Make a difference for a child family in need Fill in any amount you are able to give in the line designated for Campership on the enrollment form REGISTRATION PAYMENT Registration payment and deposits are required with completed forms immunizations and photo of the child at registration Payment is required in full the Friday prior to camp start date Campers will not be admitted to camp if fee has not been paid and all required forms are not completed and turned in SCHOLARSHIPS YMCA programs are designed to benefit persons of all walks of life You may request a financial aid application from any YMCA of Greater Omaha location Title XX and Title 19 is accepted at all locations except for Armbrust and Southwest Scholarship is given after Title XX and Title 19 options have been denied Please complete the financial aid application and return with your Title XX and Title 19 denial letter Scholarships are awarded on a first come first serve basis within the resources of the Y www metroymca org 2

YMCA CAMP PLATTE YMCA Camp Platte is held at Platte River State Park and runs for 8 one week sessions This camp provides various options for campers 6 15 years old Campers participate in games sports crafts nature activities horseback riding swimming and more You may choose to attend Camp Platte for one week or any combination of weeks NATURE BUDDIES Ages 6 7 Children will learn about the world around them through games art and activities focusing on friendships and Mother Nature Campers will explore nature along the camp trails in the great outdoors enjoy crafts paddle boats archery swimming naturalist programs about reptiles and camping Member 215 week Non member 240 week WILDERNESS PALS Ages 8 12 Children will explore the outdoor wilderness by hiking learning about animals and developing outdoor survival skills Campers will challenge themselves by gaining an understanding of teamwork build mutual trust and increase self esteem Pals will also participate in typical camp activities such as horseback riding shooting range hiking swimming naturalist program crafts and games Member 215 week Non member 240 week RIDERS Ages 8 12 This camp is designed for children who have limited or no riding experience but a love of horses Campers will ride horses four times each week and learn saddling horse care and horsemanship Riders will also participate in typical camp activities such as shooting range hiking swimming naturalist program crafts and games Member 235 week Non member 260 week SHOOTING SPORTS CAMP Ages 10 15 This camp includes archery riflery pellet guns and tomahawks It starts with safety and basic techniques then progresses to advanced techniques and shooting competitions Campers will also participate in typical camp activities such as horseback riding hiking swimming naturalist program arts crafts and games Member 225 week Non member 250 week 5 YMCA OF GREATER OMAHA

YMCA SUMMER CAMP FAQ How do I register for camp There are a two ways to register You can always register in any of our 9 YMCA of Greater Omaha locations at the Welcome Center You may also print a registration form from our website metroymca org and bring the completed form to your local YMCA of Greater Omaha location When is the registration deadline Our camps are filled on a first come first served basis Some of our more popular camps fill up quickly so planning before school is out is a great idea but you can register at anytime prior to the start of the camp week beginning on February 5 and can register up until the week of as long as there are openings How does payment work for summer camp A one time registration fee of 25 per child is due upon registration This will secure your spot Additionally our summer day camp and Camp Platte registrations require a 20 non refundable deposit per child per week We offer automatic payments which will be drafted the Friday prior to the camp start date Weekly fees are due the Friday prior to your child s camp week Payment is due in full before your child can attend camp What options are available for financial aid We want every child to have the opportunity to attend summer camp If you are need of financial assistance request a financial aid application from any of our 9 YMCA of Greater Omaha locations Title XX and Title 19 is not accepted at Armbrust or Southwest or any specialty camps Scholarship is given after Title XX and Title 19 options have been denied Complete the financial aid application and return to the Welcome Center with your Title XX and Title 19 denial letter If you have more questions the Youth Family Director at each location will be available to assist What does my child need to bring to camp Campers should show up in comfortable and appropriate clothing for the camp s activities and the weather Tennis shoes water bottle and a backpack are required A sack lunch and snack may be needed depending on the camp ask upon registration Bring a swimsuit and towel on designated swim days Leave valuables and toys at home Most importantly have your child bring a positive attitude and can do spirit www metroymca org 14
